"Meadow Highlights"
In August, my husband and I were scouting for a new Photography Retreat venue. We found Kennedy Meadows in the high sierras above Yosemite. The scenery is beautiful and they have a couple hundred horses. These two were loose on the grounds, roaming and freely grazing in the meadow and drinking from the river that runs through the property. I'm excited to offer a new photography retreat in 2026 at this location! Details below.
This image was taken on August 14, 2025, mid day. I purposely brought the exposure up to create the subtle textures of the grasses laying over the subdued images of the horses to give the sense of a bright summer day in the mountains. With this image, I hope to share a feeling I equate with relaxing, smelling fresh pine scented air, and connection to nature.
