Calling all Equine Photography enthusiasts! Come learn from experienced equine photographer Deb Hofstetter, who has photographed horses since 2019. She has produced thousands of horse images, including portraits, action, running, jumping, detail, artistic, technical, competition, and candids. She will teach you how to capture great horse images under various conditions, and how to work with the real world challenges of backgrounds, lighting, and horse behavior!
Where will the Workshop Take Place?
We will be photographing the horses (and burros if you wish!) at Redwings Horse Sanctuary, located at 6875 Union Rd. Paso Robles, CA 93446 The Sanctuary is about 20 minutes from town.
What's new in this workshop in 2025?
Lori has stepped back from this workshop in order to focus on other commitments. Deb Hofstetter is now coordinating this workshop. Registration and payment will go directly through Redwings. Please visit their website for full details and to register.
Redwings’ mission is to eliminate the causes of equine suffering through education and community outreach programs, rescue abused and neglected equines, and provide permanent sanctuary or selected adoptive homes for those equines.

What else is there to do in the area?
If you’re interested in coming from afar and you’ve never been to the area, believe us, it is NOT a wasted trip!!! There is so much else to do in Paso Robles and San Luis Obispo County!!!
